Connection Groups

Sometimes You Just Need to Connect with Others!

The ETX Innovation Center (powered by Academic Workshops) hosts several special groups per month. These groups enable people to have conversations about important topics in their workplace and/or with their finances. Through these groups, participants will be able to gain insights from others about the topic, learn additional information about the topic, and most importantly - crowdsource ways to address the topic!

Financial Conversations - For example, Molly needs to save money for an upcoming bill. She works 40 hours a week, but she needs to brainstorm a business idea that can lead to an additional $150 per week to cover the upcoming bill. She comes to the "Financial Conversations" meeting and gains 12 additional ways to earn money for her future bill.

Management Conversations - Another example, Randy is having a difficult time delegating tasks to the 20 and 30 somethings at his workplace. He feels like they do not understand his emails. He comes to the "Management Conversations" meeting and gains 12 additional ways to reach the 20 and 30 somethings in the workplace more effectively. He also engages with the "Management Conversations" groups online for continued conversations.
